Kiana Roberts - PRA 2022-2023. Kiana graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2022 completing two BAs in Psychology and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She aspires to attend graduate school for genetic counseling. She hopes to apply the knowledge she gains within the lab to her future endeavors. Outside of the lab, she likes to hike around Colorado, do yoga, and enjoy time with friends.
Ritsuko Iwanaga - Research Instructor 2018-2022. Ritz pushed forward many projects and helped us survive through the pandemic. She’s now pushing forward projects in the Ob/Gyn Department.
Kenneth Huynh - CU Denver Undergraduate 2020-2021. Kenneth was the brave undergrad starting a research rotation as part of the BA/BS-MD program the first Covid summer. Despite this, he piloted a whole new reagent for streptavidin-based TN5 tagging and presented his work at RaCAS/virtual edition 2021.
Joseph Soukep - CU Denver undergraduate 2016-2021. Joseph worked as an undergrad on many projects, was the central genotyping force, and stayed with us past graduation and helped us get through the pandemic. He has a special skill in finding engineering solutions for lab problems and fixing things! He’s now off exploring other careers.
Elyse Smiley - Gates Summer Intern Summer 2021. Elyse worked with us as a Gates Scholar through the summer of 2021. She graduated from Regis University in 2021 with a degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Biology. Following her internship, she focused on career development activities to land a choice spot in the lucky medical school that gets her application!
Amy Hoang - CU Denver Undergraduate 2019-2021. Amy worked in the lab on several projects then graduated in 2021 and is beefing up her CV for medical school.
Devon Trahan - Bioinformatician 2019-2021. Devon worked with us on several projects, most notably our single cell analysis of developing hemogenic endothelium. Devon has moved on to an industry job, applying his talents to splicing!
Ira Tandon - CU Denver undergraduate 2017-2020. Ira did a lot of cloning and support work in the lab, then presented her project developing HMT peptides at the Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS) and at a FASEB hematologic malignancies meeting. She is now a PhD student at University of Wisconsin.
Matthias Leon - PRA 2017-2020. Matthias moved from undergrad to research assistant and did a large part of the mouse colony management as well as various projects, in addition to teaching snowboarding to students in the lab!
Kelly Faulk - Pediatric Fellow. Kelly is now a senior St. Baldrick’s funded fellow in Experimental Therapeutics now pursuing training in early phase clinical trials and drug development.
Louisa Wingert - Summer student 2017 & 2018. Louisa is finishing up at Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, Colorado.
Claire Wingert - Summer student 2015, 2016 & 2018. Claire is going into her 2nd year at UC Berkeley pursuing more molecular biology research experiences.
Arushi Raval - Summer St. Baldrick’s student 2018. Arushi is now finishing at University of Colorado Boulder in Chemical and Biological Engineering.
Yufei Chen - PhD 2011-2017. Yufei is now a Staff Scientist at Seattle Genetics working on AML therapeutics.
Jasmine Lee - CU Denver undergraduate 2016-2017. Jasmine moved back to Atlanta and is now a Research Specialist in Dr. Kelly Goldsmith’s lab working on neuroblastoma; we hope to see her on CSI Atlanta soon!
Molly Kubesh - Summer student 2017. Molly is finishing at Colorado Mesa and will apply to MSTP programs soon!
Tatsuro Watanabe - Postdoctoral Fellow 2015-2017. Tatsuro is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Saga University, Japan.

Don White - Summer student 2016. Don has graduated from the University of Arkansas and is now pursuing a post-bac opportunity at the NIH then off to medical school.

Amanda Niedermyer - Research technician 2014-2015. Amanda is now back in medical school.
Florence Rabian - Hematology/Oncology Visiting Fellow 2014. Florence is a French MD from Paris Descartes Medical School pursuing specialization in Hematology and a Master's in Genetics.
Bibhu Mishra - Postdoctoral Fellow 2010-2013. Bibhu is one of the founding Scientists at CRISPR Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA.
Tao Gan - PhD 2008-2013. Tao is an Assistant Professor in the Biotechnology Department at Gannan Medical University, PRC.

Erika Artinger - PhD 2006-2011. Erika set the bar for meticulous and detailed stem cell research in the lab, tortured many rotation students, and is currently doing a postdoc in the Sanchez lab at Dartmouth.
Kristin Harrington (formerly Kristin Zaffuto) - Kristin ran the lab and pushed along three separate papers as she went. Currently Research Assistant in the Cramer lab in Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth while continuing to live in rustic Enfield with her husband and daughter (and dogs).
Sabrina Stewart - 2011. Sabrina is back to serious tennis after learning to clone a new gene.

Craig D. Jude - PhD 2005-2008. With a mere 3 years in the lab, Craig managed to get his PhD, have his first progeny, and secure a job at Bard College, where he is currently a visiting Assistant Professor.
Diyong Xu - MS 2005-2008. Diyong completed his Master's and has moved on to Stanford for a Management Science and Engineering degree to facilitate his eventual plan of world domination!
Peter Samuels - Summer 2008. Carleton College Undergraduate currently focusing on graduating then launching himself on the science/medical world.
Leslie Climer - Research Technician 2004-2007. Leslie was employee number one in December 2004 and has now moved on to pushing forward the frontiers of science in Arkansas. She now has her own PhD!
